Our Objectives Are Clear:

About us

W.E.B. Dubois astutely proclaimed, "A system cannot fail those it was meant to protect." The lingering questions surrounding disproportionate treatment or achievement may point to a system that is indeed functioning, yet the crucial query for us arises: "Functioning for whom?"

The Miranda Foundation, Inc., founded on the crucial principle of investing in our children, is dedicated to nurturing social justice champions. Our mission is to forge strong collaborations with families and stakeholders, advocating for, celebrating, and uplifting our youth. We recognize that educational disparities, especially affecting Black and Brown students, underpin many societal challenges. By intensifying our efforts, we aim to raise awareness, dismantle obstacles, and ensure an equitable learning environment for every child.

Viewing education as a means of preventative care, the Foundation is committed to eradicating systemic racism and contributing to the decrease in mass incarceration rates. We understand the transformative power of an inclusive, high-quality education system in achieving personal success and addressing larger societal injustices.

The Miranda Foundation is steadfast in its pursuit of a future where education reform and parental empowerment are the driving forces behind substantial social change and fairness for all students, aligning our actions with the core values of social justice, civil rights, and empowerment in education.

Mission & Vision

Mission Statement: The mission of The Miranda Foundation, Inc. is to confront and redress the persistent civil rights issue of educational inequality. Driven by the understanding that the root challenges faced by historically marginalized individuals lies in the unjust distribution of educational services, The Miranda Foundation is dedicated to pioneering education reform and addressing ongoing bias and educational inequity head-on by providing targeted educational services, harnessing the capabilities of community networking, and facilitating empowerment opportunities. Through our commitment, we aim to foster positive change, creating a more equitable and inclusive landscape for all.
